Eden Wedding
Eden is a city in Rockingham County, North Carolina, United States. The population was 15,908 at the 2000 census. The city was incorporated in 1967 through the consolidation of three separate towns: Leaksville, Spray, and Draper.
Due to this and the history of the town, several small historic downtown areas have opened up, such as Leaksville, which has tried to become a tourist attraction. Eden is located at 363023N, 794442W (36.506434, -79.745092)GR1.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 39.3 km (15.2 mi). 38.9 km (15.0 mi) of it is land and 0.4 km (0.2 mi) of it (1.12%) is water. As of the censusGR2 of 2000, there were 15,908 people, 6,644 households, and 4,371 families residing in the city. The population density was 409.2/km (1,060.1/mi). There were 7,368 housing units at an average density of 189.5/km (491.0/mi). The racial makeup of the city was 75.43% White, 22.15% African American, 0.21% Native American, 0.31% Asian, 0.06% Pacific Islander, 1.03% from other races, and 0.81% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 2.34% of the population.
